Starfish is a password manager. Don't ask me why we need another password manager. I tried gpasman, kpasman and a whole bunch of other stuff. But somehow I just couldn't settle down with any of them. So I decided to write my own. Its pretty simple to use, and I plan to keep improving it, so do send over some feedback.
As for the name, well that is completely due to my good friend, Asim. He gave an extremely weird explaination for the name he suggested, and I'd rather let him answer this one! :)
On second thought, I think I'll include the exact email conversation we had regarding the name:
Dude, Some thoughts on naming jpasman. The first idea came to me when I saw a picture of a starfish, then the funda behind followed . Basically, password boley to "stars", you can figure out why. So, some options for naming: A) StarFish - Because it "fishes" out the true story behind the "stars" B) Galileo - Well, because he looked at stars C) Name of a constellation - Orion D) More Indian star names - Bhrigu, Tara, Nakshatra, Dhruv Personally, I like - StarFish and/or Dhruv You get the idea.
